What is "flipped classroom" exactly?
The traditional learning experience is reversed in the flipped classroom. Individual review of lectures is done as homework outside of class, and class time is devoted to class discussion and interactive projects. Flipped classrooms typically mixes online and face-to-face training, the outbreak increased people's curiosity in this strategy. A flipped classroom approach can involve a mix of synchronous and asynchronous learning, whether it takes place wholly in a virtual classroom, a hybrid model, or a pure in-person learning setting. The following are the primary goals of flipping:
By bringing passive lecture knowledge to an at-home setting, students can examine it whenever and wherever it is most convenient for them. They can also access all of the essential content ahead of time, so they feel prepared and ready to participate in interactive learning activities when they enter the classroom.
During class, students are expected to apply the lecture materials through teacher-led discussions and activities. Group work, comprehension tests, in-depth application of the subject matter, or open time for individual assignments can all be completed in the classroom, with the added benefit of having a teacher and fellow students nearby for problem-solving and cooperation.
My favourite form for flipped classrooms is YouTube. Youtube is the primary source where we can watch videos. We can rewatch the video as much as we want. For me, it is also easy to upload the video. Lecturers can simply upload it and then share the link for students to watch.
Not only that , lecturers also can share other lecture videos to their students. So the students will learn from many lecturers and get a lot of information from various lecturers. Not only that, students also can find the video by themselves. They can just simply search the topic that they want to learn.
After they watch the video they can discuss the content with the lecturer. They also can discuss with their lecturer about other videos that they watch that are not shared from their lecturer. This will increase the understanding towards the subject.
We can conclude that YouTube is a good form to use for Flipped Classroom. You also can share your preferred form for flipped classroom in the comment section. Thank you :)
